Position Overview
Status Staffing is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Textiles Sales Consultant. We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our team and expand our sales in the Helderberg and Overberg regions. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in external sales and customer service, with a specific focus on the Upholstery/Foam industry.

**Key Responsibilities:** - Serve and develop an active customer base across related industries with a consultative and efficient sales approach. - Contact active customers as per the frequency outlined in the customer database, addressing their needs and requirements. - Generate referral business and increase customer spend with the company. - Develop inactive customers into active accounts by re-engaging them and identifying growth opportunities. - Build and maintain a database of potential customers, identifying decision-makers and establishing their needs through calls and visits. - Meet and exceed monthly sales targets through proactive planning and review with the Sales Manager. - Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 5+ yearsā experience in external sales and customer service within a similar industry. - Essential knowledge and experience in the Upholstery/Foam industry. - Matric certificate required. - Valid driverās license and reliable personal vehicle. - Clear credit record. - Proven sales, telemarketing, and customer service track record. - Strong time management and organizational skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. - Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented.
**Duties:**
- Maintain and grow the existing customer base. - Service and maintain the active customer base. - Contact active customers according to outlined frequency. - Respond to customersā needs and requirements. - Generate referral business and increase customer spend. - Identify opportunities to increase spend with the company. - Introduce and sell new products to existing customers. - Develop inactive customers into active customers. - Build new business by sourcing prospective customers. - Meet monthly sales targets through proactive actions.
