**Compensation:** The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary package ranging from R253 341.00 to R424 371.00 per annum, inclusive of benefits. The salary will be commensurate with the level of experience recognized after a Trade test certificate. Shortlisted applicants will be required to provide proof of recognized experience.

**Requirements:**

In order to excel in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A valid Trade Test Certificate and a minimum of 0-2 years of experience in a related field. * A valid driver's license, which is essential for the efficient execution of job duties. * In-depth knowledge of Public Service Legislation, Policies, and Regulations, as well as the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act). * Familiarity with Departmental policies, strategies, and procedures. * Proficiency in computer-aided technical applications and adherence to legal compliance standards. * Strong understanding of production processes and skills. * Additionally, the candidate should possess the following skills: + Technical report writing and problem-solving skills. + Ability to analyze situations and make informed decisions. + Strong teamwork, creativity, analytical, self-management, communication, and computer skills. + Planning and organizing skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. * The ideal candidate should also exhibit the following attributes: + A team player with a customer-focused approach. + Reliable and accountable in their work.

**Key Responsibilities:**

The successful candidate will be responsible for

• Designing and producing objects according to client specifications and within the limits of production capability. * Utilizing materials and equipment to create products that meet recognized standards and job specifications. * Ensuring the quality of produced objects through rigorous quality assurance processes. * Conducting regular inspections to identify technical faults in equipment and/or facilities. * Repairing equipment and facilities according to established standards. * Testing and verifying the quality of repaired equipment and/or facilities against specifications. * Providing scheduled maintenance and servicing of equipment and/or facilities. * Conducting quality assurance checks on serviced and maintained equipment and/or facilities. * Compiling and submitting reports to stakeholders. * Contributing to the development of operational plans. * Maintaining accurate job records and registers. * Supervising and mentoring staff to ensure their professional growth and development. * Staying up-to-date with new technologies and procedures to enhance individual development and contribute to the department's continuous improvement.
