CTP Cartons and Labels is currently seeking a Die Cutter Operator to join the Cut & Crease team. The chosen candidate will be tasked with setting up and operating die cutting machines to ensure that products meet customer specifications with high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Job Responsibilities: - Set up and operate die cutting machines according to production requirements and work ticket specifications. - Ensure that finished products adhere to both customer specifications and company quality standards. - Read and interpret work tickets and production documentation. - Maximize productivity while minimizing waste, downtime, and machine stoppages. - Conduct routine machine inspections and perform basic preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment condition. - Report any machine faults or quality concerns immediately to the relevant supervisor. - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in line with company health and safety procedures. - Adhere to all quality, safety, and housekeeping standards. - Collaborate with production staff to meet production targets and deadlines.
Minimum Skills Requirements: - Trade certificate in Carton Making - 3 - 5 years' experience operating a die cutting machine in a manufacturing (packaging) environment - Full blanking experience - Proficient in the CUBE system - Technical aptitude with the ability to understand machine settings and adjustments - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work - Ability to meet production targets and performance standards - Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively within a team - Willingness to work overtime and shifts when operational requirements demand
