We are currently seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our client's manufacturing facility in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the production, maintenance, and repair of injection moulding tools.
Key Responsibilities: · Develop, maintain, and repair injection moulding tools and related equipment · Execute preventative maintenance on moulds and tooling · Disassemble, inspect, and evaluate mould components for wear or damage · Identify and fix tooling issues and complete required repairs · Assemble and fit precision components according to specified requirements · Perform machining, grinding, and fitting tasks as needed · Aid in mould modifications and enhancements · Interpret engineering drawings and tooling specifications · Conduct dimensional checks on manufactured and repaired parts · Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to reduce tooling downtime · Keep precise records of tooling and maintenance activities · Ensure that tools meet required quality and precision standards · Comply with health and safety regulations and maintain good housekeeping practices
Minimum Requirements: · Matric certificate · Toolmaker Trade Test · Experience with injection moulding tooling · Proven experience in manufacturing, repairing, or maintaining injection moulds · Proficiency in precision fitting and machining · Ability to read and understand engineering drawings · Familiarity with measuring and inspection tools · Knowledge of mould components and tooling principles
