Responsibilities
• Apply masking to vehicles, panels, glass, trim, and wheels in preparation for painting. • Disassemble and reassemble trim, badges, and mouldings as needed. • Carefully remove masking materials post-painting to avoid damaging the fresh paintwork. • Polish and buff painted surfaces to eliminate minor imperfections and achieve a high-gloss, smooth finish, free from swirl marks. • Carry out color sanding where necessary. • Clean and detail vehicles following the polishing process. • Inspect finished work and report any defects encountered. • Maintain the upkeep of polishing equipment, tools, and materials. • Adhere to workshop safety procedures and utilize appropriate protective gear.
Requirements
• Matric / Grade 12 certificate. • Prior experience in vehicle masking and/or polishing is advantageous; training will be provided as needed. • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. • A keen eye for paint finishes and the capability to identify imperfections. • Proficiency in using polishing equipment and materials, or a willingness to learn. • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines. • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods. • Valid driver’s license. • Stable employment history and contactable references.
