We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our esteemed client's team. The ideal candidate will handle the full scope of accounting tasks, from processing source documentation to preparing monthly, bi-monthly, and annual accounting records, and will manage a client portfolio of 15 or more accounting clients.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Financial Accounting, or equivalent. - Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related role. - Proficiency in Pastel Partner, Sage Accounting, Xero Accounting, and CaseWare.

Experience with

• Processing journals, accruals, prepayments, and year-end adjustments; performing comprehensive reconciliations for bank, creditors, debtors, loan accounts, VAT control, payroll control, fixed asset registers, and inter-company accounts. - Reviewing bookkeeping completed by clients’ internal bookkeepers, identifying processing errors, and ensuring records accuracy before financial statement preparation. - Preparing and reviewing VAT201 returns, conducting VAT reconciliations, assisting during VAT audits, and responding to SARS VAT verification requests. - Managing a client portfolio of 15 or more accounting clients, building relationships, providing professional advice, and responding promptly to queries. - Resolving complex accounting queries, analyzing unusual transactions, assisting with IFRS for SMEs treatments, and preparing supporting working papers.
