Our client is looking for a skilled Business Analyst / Data Analyst to join their team on a permanent, fully remote basis. This role is ideal for someone who has a keen interest in business requirements, systems, data, product development, and emerging AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities: - Collect, analyze, and convert business requirements into functional specifications. - Evaluate business processes, system behavior, workflows, and data flows. - Utilize SQL for data querying, investigation, and validation. - Identify trends, anomalies, data-quality issues, and root causes. - Perform data mapping and validation across reports, integrations, and workflows. - Collaborate closely with Developers, QA, Product, and Operations teams. - Examine APIs, integrations, data structures, and system interactions. - Assist in feature design, backlog refinement, and prioritization. - Spot opportunities for automation, AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics. - Prepare datasets and aid in model development, testing, and evaluation. - Generate functional, technical, process, data, and integration documentation.

Requirements: - Expertise in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Data Analysis, or a related technical field. - Hands-on SQL experience. - Knowledge of relational databases, reporting, APIs, and the software development lifecycle. - Proficient in requirements-gathering and process-mapping. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - A tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. - Experience with Python, predictive analytics, AI/ML, REST APIs, JSON, dashboards, or data visualization is advantageous. - Intermediate candidates should be comfortable taking ownership of requirements, features, or projects.
