BRIEF DESCRIPTION:-

The Catering Manager role involves overseeing daily catering operations to meet company standards, ensuring quality food and service, planning and costing menus within budgets, managing staff recruitment and training, and maintaining compliance with hygiene and safety regulations. The position requires four years of managerial experience in catering or restaurants, along with culinary or hospitality qualifications.

We are seeking a Catering Manager to join our team. In this role, you will assist the manager in managing day-to-day catering operations to meet the required standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure quality food and service are provided to meet the company's satisfaction, including all meals, functions, and resale items. - Plan and cost menus while adhering to budgetary limits and prescribed menus. - Complete all administrative tasks accurately and promptly. - Strictly adhere to cash-up procedures and ensure all monies are banked as per laid-down procedures. - Maintain up-to-date staff records in compliance with company and statutory requirements. - Hire, train, and schedule catering staff and contribute to the development of current staff in service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures. - Prepare operating statements, reports, and operational budgets, and review receivables collection. - Develop and cost menus and market catering functions. - Ensure hygiene standards comply with company and statutory requirements. - Maintain effective security in all areas under your control. - Respond to staff needs, including induction, performance monitoring, coaching, and ensuring appropriate training. - Conduct On-the-Job Training as requested by the company. - Organize regular fire drills and ensure evacuation procedures are understood and implemented. - Adhere to HACCP and NOSA regulations. - Complete and submit all relevant documentation in the event of fire, theft, burglary, or accident. - Ensure staff are correctly dressed at all times. - Recruit, interview, and manage subordinates in compliance with company and statutory procedures. - Practice and promote good industrial relations. - Continuously strive to meet customer needs and create the right environment.

Qualifications
