Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ Distribution Centre in Longmeadow invites applications for a DC Dispatch Clerk to join our team. The role focuses on upholding operational excellence within the Dispatch Department by performing various clerical tasks. These tasks include managing and staging dispatch operations to meet legal and customer requirements.

Minimum Requirements…Essential: - Grade 12 / Matric - Previous experience in Dispatch or in a similar role

Advantageous: - Supply-Chain or Logistics Degree or Diploma

Job Description: The main duty of a Dispatch Clerk is to scan multiple boxes (handling units) to corresponding shipment numbers (pallet numbers) while meeting the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) outlined in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

Responsibilities include: - Adhering to Good Warehousing Practices, the SHE programme, and Occupational Health and Safety Act. - Effectively resolving both internal and external day-to-day queries. - Analyzing and interpreting shrinkage indicators and taking appropriate actions. - Ensuring high accuracy when checking completed warehouse orders and comparing packed boxes to store invoice details. - Verifying that vehicles are loaded with the correct quantity of boxes or parcels for the designated customers. - Scanning cross-dock and inter-branch invoices according to invoice numbers and correct store.

Competencies…Essential: - Knowledge of distribution center, logistics, and supply chain operations. - Understanding of business measures and targets related to the role. - Proficient in English (read, write, and speak). - Trustworthy and honest. - Accountability - Customer service mindset - Team player - Calm under pressure - Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
