An established manufacturing firm is looking for a dedicated Export Operations Manager for their Killarney Gardens branch in Cape Town, offering a competitive monthly salary of R30 000. This role demands an experienced professional to oversee and direct the export department's daily operations, managing a team of around nine individuals.

Ideal candidates will have a comprehensive grasp of the export process, including order receipt, production coordination, documentation, freight arrangement, and final shipment. This position is perfect for an accomplished Export Controller, Senior Export Coordinator, or Export Team Leader eager to lead a dynamic operational department.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the export team, assign tasks, and monitor daily objectives. - Process export orders and maintain consistent communication with international clients. - Collaborate with production, stores, and other departments to meet delivery schedules. - Arrange courier, airfreight, and sea-freight shipments. - Prepare and submit precise export and shipping documentation. - Negotiate freight rates with forwarders and shipping lines. - Handle invoices, credits, stock transfers, and backflushing transactions. - Track backorders and ensure timely and accurate dispatch of orders. - Issue quotations, samples, and order confirmations. - Coordinate export packaging, pallets, and related materials. - Assist with stock control, stock counts, and forecasting. - Liaise with Quality Control for customer complaints and product issues. - Maintain accurate customer pricing and product information on the system. - Monitor departmental timesheets, attendance, and leave.

Minimum Requirements

• Extensive experience in exports, shipping, or international logistics. - Thorough knowledge of the entire export process from order to shipment. - Experience working with freight forwarders, couriers, airfreight, and sea freight. - Proficiency in export and shipping documentation. - Previous experience in supervising or leading a small operational team. - Strong international customer communication and administrative skills. - Good numerical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to manage multiple orders, priorities, and deadlines effectively. - Comfortable working closely with production, stores, stock control, and Quality Control. - Willingness to remain actively involved and detail-oriented in operations.
