An established FMCG firm is looking for an experienced and driven Distribution Team Leader to join its operations in KwaZulu‑Natal. The successful applicant will report directly to the Distribution Manager and will manage daily distribution activities, fleet operations, delivery performance, and yard operations.

### Key Responsibilities - Conduct daily driver performance reviews and debrief sessions, monitoring and evaluating their effectiveness. - Ensure drivers are available and allocate them efficiently to routes. - Control the fleet and plan deliveries, including updating schedules, providing estimated times of arrival, and ensuring route compliance. - Represent the company professionally in all interactions with customers and the public. - Maintain a 99 % On‑Time In‑Full (OTIF) rate and overall service efficiency, reporting any exceptions accurately. - Guarantee that the fleet departs punctually each day and manage turnaround times both in the yard and at customer sites. - Accurately document all returned stock on a daily basis. - Handle Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation, picking slips, GRV queries, and other administrative duties. - Monitor and manage the fleet tracking system. - Uphold housekeeping standards throughout the fleet, trailers, and distribution yard. - Compile and analyze late and non‑delivery reports. - Coordinate truck servicing and maintenance schedules. - Liaise with internal sales teams to address delivery delays and related concerns. - Perform daily fleet inspections. - Prepare weekly overtime analysis reports. - Record accidents and incidents with precision. - Oversee yard control and receiving activities. - Manage operational costs within the allocated budget, covering fuel, wages, and other distribution expenditures. - Execute additional transport and delivery tasks as required.

### Minimum Requirements - Tertiary qualification in Logistics. - Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Windows. - 3–4 years of experience in Logistics or a comparable field. - 1–3 years of supervisory experience is mandatory. - Valid Code 08 driver’s licence. - Own reliable transport.
