Our client is looking for a versatile Mid-Level Software Developer to join their development team in Pretoria in a hybrid capacity. The successful candidate should have extensive full-stack development experience, a knack for problem-solving, and a desire to utilize contemporary AI coding tools to optimize the software development process.

Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain software applications in both backend and full-stack environments. - Create scalable, robust, and maintainable solutions employing modern programming techniques. - Collaborate with AI coding tools like Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor in the development process. - Develop and integrate RESTful APIs. - Partner with team members to comprehend requirements and implement effective technical solutions. - Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues. - Engage in version-controlled development using Git. - Work with relational databases to support data-driven application functionality. - Contribute to the continuous enhancement of development processes and solutions.

Requirements: - 4–7 years of substantial software development experience. - Strong proficiency in at least one of the following: Java, NodeJS, TypeScript, Python. - Experience in backend and/or full-stack development. - Practical experience using AI coding tools in the development workflow. - Relevant university degree in Computer Science or equivalent. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. - Self-motivated, diligent, and proactive approach to development.
