Our client is on the lookout for an accomplished Senior Java Developer to spearhead the creation of enterprise-level Point of Sale (POS) solutions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to engage with sophisticated retail technology, system integrations, and high-performance applications while guiding the technical direction and mentoring a team of developers.
Key Responsibilities: - Create and sustain scalable, high-performance Java-based POS solutions. - Conceptualize, prototype, and implement innovative software solutions and enhancements. - Lead the development and integration of SAP Retail solutions. - Integrate third-party systems and services through SOAP, REST, and iDocs. - Design responsive user interfaces using Java Swing, HTML5, and CSS. - Connect and maintain POS hardware such as card terminals, printers, and peripheral devices. - Generate reports with JasperReports and iText, and oversee receipt and line printing. - Develop technical documentation, UML diagrams, development wikis, and SDK guidelines. - Mentor and lead developers, fostering quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Oversee the complete software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment and support. - Conduct code reviews, testing, and quality assurance to ensure high-quality solutions. - Identify and address performance bottlenecks within production environments. - Stay abreast of emerging technologies and apply relevant tools and methodologies.
