Oversee the daily operations of the car wash, ensuring efficient workflow and service delivery. Plan and coordinate staffing to meet operational demands. Ensure vehicles are processed efficiently while maintaining company quality standards. Monitor productivity and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency. Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed accurately. Maintain a clean, organised, and professional working environment. Sales and Financial Performance: Drive sales growth and achieve agreed revenue targets. Promote value-added services, packages, and promotions. Monitor operational costs and minimise waste of water, chemicals, and consumables. Ensure accurate cash handling and investigate discrepancies where necessary. Review operational and financial reports and implement corrective actions to improve profitability. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and business planning. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and develop employees. Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and performance. Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs. Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive workplace culture. Ensure all employees comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Customer Service: Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service. Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally. Build lasting relationships with customers to encourage repeat business. Ensure all vehicles are handled with care and professionalism. Quality Assurance: Monitor service quality to ensure all vehicles receive the services purchased. Conduct regular quality inspections. Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions. Maintain consistent service standards across all shifts. Equipment and Maintenance: Ensure all car wash equipment is safe, operational, and well maintained. Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs. Conduct routine inspections and maintain maintenance records. Ensure employees operate equipment safely and correctly. Stock and Inventory Control: Manage stock levels of cleaning chemicals, consumables, and operational supplies. Conduct regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies. Control the issuing and usage of stock to minimise waste. Submit purchasing requests when required. Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations. Promote a safe working environment for employees, customers, and contractors. Ensure chemicals are stored, handled, and used correctly. Conduct regular safety inspections and report incidents promptly. Promote responsible water usage and environmentally sustainable practices. Reporting and Administration: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports. Monitor sales performance, productivity, staffing, stock usage, and customer feedback. Maintain accurate operational, maintenance, and employee records. Provide management with recommendations to improve operational performance. Requirements Grade 12 / Matric. A qualification in Operations Management, Business Management, Retail Management, or a related field will be advantageous.3–5 years' management experience in an operational environment. Previous experience within a car wash or vehicle service environment will be advantageous. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
