Role and Responsibilities Execute diagnostic tasks and assist mechanics as directed by the Foreman. Perform fault diagnosis to expedite vehicle servicing. Ensure that vehicle servicing adheres to manufacturer-specified time limits. Engage with service advisors and customers to provide clear explanations as needed. Maintain high standards of vehicle care and safety during duties. Deliver vehicles back to customers in a clean and tidy state after service. Complete all mandatory OEM training (online, classroom, or other formats) within stipulated timelines. Manage administrative tasks, including completing forms and documentation. Draft and prepare required reports. Mentor apprentices, sign off logbooks, and assess their technical skills (if applicable). Foster effective communication with team members, colleagues, customers, and service providers. Participate in marketing campaigns when necessary for business growth. Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested.
Qualifications and Experience A Qualified Technician with a minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience. Experience specifically with KIA vehicles is advantageous. Relevant OEM product training is a plus. Proven track record of fixing problems correctly the first time. Proficiency in using manufacturer diagnostic equipment/computers to access necessary information. Strong mechanical insight and motor vehicle fault-finding skills. Mental alertness and sound English communication and writing skills. Meticulous, customer-oriented, and a team player with strong interpersonal competence. Decision-making and action-oriented approach. Valid, unendorsed driver’s license.
