About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Level 1 Apprentice to join our team at Kia Germiston. This entry-level position focuses on providing hands-on training and exposure to various aspects of automotive service and repair within a professional environment. You will learn to assist skilled technicians while developing your technical and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

Assist experienced technicians in performing routine maintenance and servicing of vehicles Learn to diagnose vehicle issues and assist with repairs under supervision Gain hands-on experience with automotive tools and equipment Participate in training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and skills Support the team with administrative tasks, including keeping service records and inventory management Ensure a clean and organized work environment in the workshop Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers Contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere by sharing knowledge and best practices

Requirements

A matriculation certificate or equivalent qualification Demonstrable passion for the automotive industry and eagerness to learn Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team Basic understanding of automotive systems and maintenance is a plus Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience or exposure in an automotive workshop setting Relevant vocational training or coursework in automotive technology Valid driver’s license
