Introduction
Are you a dynamic leader eager to fully own a retail operation? As a Retail Store Manager, your main responsibility will be to strategically oversee and enhance your storeās overall performance. From steering daily sales and profitability to delivering superior customer service and flawless visual merchandising, you will manage your store as if it were your own.
Key Responsibilities
Store Performance: Develop and implement daily sales strategies, oversee budgets, control store expenses, and assess local market trends to meet or surpass profitability objectives.
Floor Leadership & Execution: Successfully implement visual merchandising plans, manage promotional campaigns, and conduct daily morning briefings, store walkthroughs, and checklists to maintain top-notch store conditions.
Team Empowerment: Recruit, nurture, and retain top-tier store staff; conduct monthly one-on-one performance reviews, monitor digital training participation (Axonify), and foster a high-performance culture.
Risk & Admin Control: Handle essential in-store administrative tasks, including cash reconciliations and stock counts; manage stock loss/shrinkage, and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
Customer Service Champion: Address customer concerns promptly on the floor, review social/Google reviews and CRM reports daily, and motivate staff to provide an outstanding in-store experience.
Qualifications
Education: Matric certificate.
Experience: 3 to 6 years in retail.
Core Competencies: Strong decision-making, leadership, planning and organization, stress management, and entrepreneurial mindset.
Skills: Proficiency in Google Suite, operational stock management, and a thorough understanding of retail and consumer finance systems (SAP/SAS) and relevant legislations (CPA, NCA, POPIA, etc.).
