Introduction

Are you a dynamic leader prepared to manage a retail store autonomously? As a Store Manager, your responsibilities will encompass leading and enhancing your store's overall performance. This role involves overseeing daily sales, ensuring profitability, delivering exceptional customer service, and managing visual merchandising. You will operate your store as if it were your very own business.

Key Duties

Store Operations: Develop and implement daily sales tactics, control budgets, manage store costs, and evaluate regional sales patterns to achieve or surpass profit objectives.

Team Leadership & Implementation: Carry out visual merchandising strategies, oversee promotional campaigns, and conduct daily morning briefings, floor walks, and checklists to maintain top-notch store conditions.

Staff Development: Hire, cultivate, and retain skilled store personnel; conduct monthly one-on-one performance evaluations, monitor digital training participation (Axonify), and foster a culture of excellence.

Administrative & Risk Management: Manage in-store administrative tasks, including cash handling and stock counts; actively oversee stock loss/shrinkage, and uphold health and safety regulations.

Customer Service Excellence: Address customer concerns promptly on the sales floor, review social and Google reviews, and CRM reports daily; motivate staff to provide an outstanding in-store experience.

Qualifications

Education: Matric certificate.

Experience: 3 to 6 years in retail.

Core Skills: Strong decision-making and action-initiating skills, leadership and supervision capabilities, planning and organization, stress management, and entrepreneurial mindset.

Technical Proficiency: Google Suite, operational stock management, and a sound understanding of retail and consumer finance systems (SAP/SAS) and relevant legislations (CPA, NCA, POPIA, etc.).
