Business Analyst – Digital Products & Innovation

Purpose of the Role: The Business Analyst is central to interpreting the organization's business operations, strategic goals, and potential areas for advancement. The role’s main aim is to pinpoint initiatives that yield significant business value, drive ongoing improvement, and reduce operational risks through digital innovations.

Operating at the nexus of business and technology, the Business Analyst converts business needs into explicit, actionable requirements that empower technical teams to collaboratively design, develop, and implement robust digital solutions.

The Business Analyst will oversee digital products or initiatives, leading them from conception and requirement gathering to implementation and user adoption. This includes crafting a clear product vision, setting priorities, maintaining stakeholder alignment, and ensuring the final solution supports the organization’s overarching business strategy.

The Business Analyst will work in tandem with the CIO, Scrum Master, and technical team to ensure successful delivery, foster collaboration, and cultivate an environment rooted in trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience: A relevant degree or formal training in Business Analysis, Agile methodologies, DevOps, Product Ownership, or a related discipline. Minimum of three years of experience in a similar Business Analyst or digital product-focused role. Extensive knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban. Experience in business analytics, requirements analysis, and process improvement. Experience in system design, system enhancements, and continuous delivery through DevOps practices. A sound understanding of business operations, systems thinking, and team dynamics. Proven experience working collaboratively with technical teams to translate business requirements into actionable digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities: Own and manage the direction, priorities, and backlog of digital products and initiatives. Develop and maintain necessary product documentation and delivery artefacts, including epics, user stories, features, and clearly defined requirements. Translate business needs and strategic objectives into actionable initiatives that can be effectively delivered by technical teams. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, the CIO, Scrum Master, and technical teams to ensure alignment on objectives, priorities, and expected outcomes. Lead initiatives throughout the product lifecycle, from requirements definition and solution design through to implementation and user adoption. Facilitate effective communication between business and technical stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and deliverables. Promote Agile and DevOps best practices, continuous improvement, and effective ways of working. Identify opportunities to enhance business processes, improve system functionality, reduce risk, and maximize the value delivered through technology. Ensure that digital solutions remain aligned with the organization’s strategic vision and evolving business needs.
