Our client is on the lookout for a skilled Business Analyst / Data Analyst to join their team in a permanent, remote position. This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in business processes, systems, data, product development, and cutting-edge AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities: - Collect, examine, and interpret business requirements to formulate functional specifications. - Evaluate business processes, system functionalities, workflows, and data flows. - Utilize SQL to scrutinize, investigate, and confirm data accuracy. - Detect trends, anomalies, data quality issues, and underlying causes. - Conduct data mapping and validation across various reports, integrations, and workflows. - Collaborate closely with Developers, QA, Product, and Operations teams. - Analyze APIs, integrations, data structures, and system interactions. - Aid in feature design, backlog refinement, and prioritization. - Recognize opportunities for automation, AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics. - Prepare datasets and support model development, testing, and evaluation. - Produce comprehensive functional, technical, process, data, and integration documentation.

Requirements: - Proven experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Data Analysis, or a comparable technical role. - Practical experience with SQL. - Familiarity with relational databases, reporting, APIs, and the software development lifecycle. - Strong skills in requirements-gathering and process-mapping. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. - A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. - Experience with Python, predictive analytics, AI/ML, REST APIs, JSON, dashboards, or data visualization is advantageous. - Intermediate candidates should demonstrate the ability to take ownership of requirements, features, or projects.
