Our client is looking for a skilled Business Analyst / Data Analyst to join their team on a permanent, fully remote basis. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on integrating business needs with technical insights, especially in the areas of systems, data, product development, and cutting-edge AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities: - Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications through thorough analysis. - Evaluate business processes, system functionality, workflows, and data flows. - Use SQL to examine, validate, and interrogate data. - Detect trends, anomalies, and data quality issues, and determine their root causes. - Conduct data mapping and validation across reports, integrations, and workflows. - Collaborate with Developers, QA, Product, and Operations teams. - Assess APIs, integrations, data structures, and system interactions. - Support feature design, backlog refinement, and prioritization. - Spot opportunities for automation, AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics. - Prepare datasets and help with model development, testing, and evaluation. - Create functional, technical, process, data, and integration documentation.

Requirements: - Proficiency in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Data Analysis, or a related technical position. - Practical experience with SQL. - Familiarity with relational databases, reporting, APIs, and the software development lifecycle. - Strong capabilities in requirements gathering and process mapping. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. - A tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. - Experience with Python, predictive analytics, AI/ML, REST APIs, JSON, dashboards, or data visualization is advantageous. - Intermediate candidates should be able to independently manage requirements, features, or projects.
