In this permanent position, a prominent manufacturing client seeks a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic and Driver to oversee vehicle maintenance and manage articulated heavy vehicles. This role entails the upkeep of fleet vehicles in optimal condition while safely driving to transport cargo on time.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive pre and post-trip vehicle inspections. - Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and heavy machinery. - Safely operate articulated trucks to transport cargo to specified locations. - Ensure all loads are transported securely and adhering to schedule. - Promptly identify, document, and report all vehicle defects and maintenance issues.
