Our client seeks an experienced Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate must hold a relevant Project Management, Mechanical Degree, or trade-related qualification and possess 5-10 years of experience in project management. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge of machines and tools is required, along with proficiency in HVAC systems, components, and their functions. A proactive approach to expanding technical knowledge is essential.

BASIC SALARY: R30,000 – R45,000 + Benefits START DATE: A. S. A. P

REQUIREMENTS: - Relevant Project Management, Mechanical Degree, or trade-related qualification - 5-10 years’ experience in a Project Management role with expertise in mechanical and electrical knowledge of machines and tools - Excellent understanding of HVAC systems, including components, their functions, and a proactive approach to enhancing technical knowledge - Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle required

DUTIES: - Manage projects dynamically and effectively on-site - Manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and coordinate the ordering of relevant materials - Handle claim submissions - Manage variation order quotations and obtain necessary approvals - Develop and maintain project plans, including work schedules and completion deadlines - Manage site meetings and site instructions - Schedule teams and maintain strict control of labor on projects - Manage and understand contra charges - Maintain an understanding of building contracts and related requirements - Read, interpret, and measure from technical drawings and plans - Conduct accurate on-site measurements - Liaise effectively with engineers, builders, and other stakeholders - Ensure completed project scopes are achieved and as-built drawings are accurately aligned - Compile and submit Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals - Demonstrate excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail in planning and execution
