Employment Type: Permanent Sector: Manufacturing Salary: Competitive (R22,000 – R27,000 depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate

Requirements: - N6 National Diploma in Electrical Engineering - Qualified Electrician with Red Seal certification and 3 Phase Wireman’s License - PLC installation and programming experience (preferred) - Proficiency in wiring, PLC programming, electrical drawings, and electrical maintenance - Valid Red Seal qualification - Possession of personal transport - Willing to work extra hours when necessary

Responsibilities: - Supervise production staff and oversee daily activities - Estimate costs for new designs, create Bill of Materials (BOM), and manage layouts for manufacturing - Monitor and approve bulk material orders based on stock levels and forecasts - Ensure personnel are trained and qualified for their roles; identify training needs - Improve staff skills and promote self-discipline in alignment with company policies - Foster effective communication and coordination within the organization - Conduct disciplinary actions and hearings according to company procedures - Motivate staff and manage Human Resources functions, including recruitment and termination - Address union-related issues and maintain positive industrial relations - Maintain accurate personnel records - Ensure a safe working environment, chair safety meetings, and investigate incidents - Oversee electrical maintenance, including hand tools, machinery, welding equipment, and electrical boards - Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations - Conduct regular safety inspections and compile reports - Monitor stock levels of consumables and wires; assist with monthly stock take - Ensure workstations and restrooms are clean and organized

Special Needs: - Design and program PLCs and touch screen control systems (TSC) - Design and test switchboards and chassis - Perform electrical design and drafting using CAD, Revit, and SketchUp - Update wiring diagrams and associated documents - Willingness to work extra hours when required to meet project deadlines - Possession of personal transport is mandatory
