Our client seeks an experienced Machine Builder/Assembler for their Bellville facility. The successful applicant should possess a minimum of five years' experience in a factory or manufacturing setting, particularly in machine building or mechanical assembly. A relevant qualification of N4 Mechanical level, Fitter/Millwright Artisan certification, a Forklift License, and basic MIG/TIG welding skills are mandatory. Proficiency in mechanical assembly, hand tools, measuring devices, and mechanical components is essential. The ideal candidate must demonstrate safety consciousness, physical fitness for working at heights, the ability to work comfortably in elevated positions, ownership of a reliable vehicle, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team.

Application Requirements: - Minimum of 5 years' experience in a factory, manufacturing, or industrial environment. - Prior experience as a Machine Builder, Mechanical Assembler, Fitter, or similar role. - An N4 Mechanical qualification is required; Fitter/Millwright Artisan certification preferred. - A Forklift Driving License is mandatory. - Basic MIG/TIG welding experience is advantageous. - Safety training or certification, such as NOSA, is a plus. - Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly and machine-building processes. - Proficiency in using electrical, mechanical, and hand tools safely and effectively. - Accurate use of measuring equipment, such as verniers, angle protractors, squares, spirit levels, and tape measures. - Knowledge of mechanical components, fasteners, sheet metal, and structural materials. - Physical capability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairs, and work using pedestals when necessary. - Safety-conscious attitude with a strong understanding of safe working practices. - Own and operate a reliable vehicle for commuting, including potential overtime work. - Ability to work independently while effectively contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Duties: - Assemble and install gearboxes, pulleys, sprockets, chains, conveyors, rollers, and bearings. - Work with various sheet metal and structural materials, including Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Angle Iron, Tubing, Flat Bar, and Channels. - Utilize electrical and mechanical hand tools, including drills, grinders, tapping machines, spanners, and other standard hand tools. - Employ precision and general measuring equipment, such as verniers, angle protractors, squares, spirit levels, and tape measures. - Perform tapping and die-cutting of threads. - Execute basic MIG/TIG welding as required. - Function effectively as part of a team in a factory/manufacturing setting. - Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety procedures, maintaining a safety-conscious approach at all times. - Work at heights, including climbing ladders, stairs, and pedestals when required. - Operate a forklift where necessary and within the scope of the relevant license.
