Job Description
VKB Milling is proud to present several apprenticeship opportunities through our dedicated training program. In this position, you will gain practical experience to cultivate the competencies required to earn certification as an Electrician.
You will support seasoned electricians in the installation, upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, wiring, outlets, lighting, and control systems. - Acquire skills in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes. - Engage in pulling wire, bending conduit, and installing circuit breakers and panels. - Operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment under supervision. - Ensure tools, materials, and the work area remain clean and safe. - Adhere to safety standards and electrical codes at all times. - Assist licensed electricians on various projects.
Job Requirement
- Completion of Grade 12 / NQF 4 - Demonstrated interest in electrical work and technical problem-solving - Enrollment in or completion of a pre-apprenticeship program - Capability to work in outdoor environments and challenging physical conditions - Meticulous attention to detail and eagerness to learn - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision - Positive attitude and strong work ethic
