BRIEF DESCRIPTION:-

As a Forklift Driver at PepsiCo, the primary responsibilities include safely navigating the warehouse to move materials, effectively managing inventory, and maintaining a clean work environment. The role requires a valid forklift license, at least 1 year of experience as a forklift driver, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will also be responsible for conducting pre-use inspections and maintaining the forklift in a neat and clean condition.

**Key Responsibilities and Expectations**

As a Forklift Driver at PepsiCo, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement and storage of pulp/concentrate drums, ingredients stock, and other materials within our production facilities. Your primary duties will include:

• Safely navigating the warehouse to move pallets containing pulp/concentrate drums, adhering to operational procedures for stacking empty/full and half drums. - Effectively managing inventory by moving stock from Inbound to blending allocations, ingredients store, and other designated areas, including pallets. - Maintaining a clean and organized work environment through diligent housekeeping practices. - Collaborating with supervisors to conduct stock counts and ensure accurate inventory levels.

**Pre-Operational and Maintenance Responsibilities**

Before commencing your duties, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting thorough inspections of the forklift to ensure compliance with laid-down specifications. - Maintaining the forklift's battery, ensuring it is charged and ready for use. - Ensuring the forklift remains in a neat and clean condition at all times. - Performing pre-use inspections of the forklift and reporting any defects or issues. - Assisting with the movement of non-conforming product from blending to the quarantine area.

**Additional Tasks and Responsibilities**

You will also be expected to

• Assist with the movement of concentrate wood/steel bins in the tank farm area. - Perform stock counts in conjunction with your supervisor. - Move pallets from the pallet area to blending and dedicated areas. - Ensure the efficient movement and stacking of pulp/concentrate drums, empty/full and half drums, and pallets. - Assist with other ad-hoc tasks as required.

**Qualifications and Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Matric or equivalent qualification. - A valid forklift license. - At least 1 year of experience as a forklift driver. - The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a safe and efficient working practice.
