Purpose: This position is designed to ensure outstanding customer service for both external and internal clients, including delivery and transfer drivers. The role involves providing friendly service, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and accurately loading all customer purchases into vehicles and trucks. The main goal is to ensure the Yard operates efficiently to prevent stock losses and customer dissatisfaction, thereby encouraging repeat business and boosting sales and profit margins.
Key Responsibilities: - Promptly and accurately load customers' vehicles, delivery trucks, and transfer trucks. - Ensure that stock is properly organized and counted. - Assist in pulling stock for transfers. - Report any stock shortages or breakages. - Maintain tidiness and cleanliness by sweeping and upholding good housekeeping standards. - Provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate thorough product knowledge. - Bag stone and sand. - Participate in perpetual stocktakes. - Ensure the housekeeping of the work area. - Perform any other work-related tasks as delegated by your superior.
Requirements: - Matric or equivalent qualification. - Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role (preferred). - Ability to deliver excellent customer service. - Competence in numerically counting stock. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member. - Disciplined, motivated, and capable of handling pressure. - Effective verbal communication skills. - Physical fitness and stamina.
