We are seeking a dedicated HR Administrator to support our human resources operations with a strong focus on employee engagement and administrative processes. In this role, you will facilitate the seamless execution of HR functions, contributing to a positive work environment and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
Manage employee onboarding processes, including orientation and training coordination. Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in HR databases. Assist in payroll preparation by collating employee time and attendance data. Support the recruitment process, from posting job advertisements to scheduling interviews and conducting reference checks. Achieve and maintain compliance with labour legislation and company policies, providing guidance to employees when needed. Coordinate employee performance review processes, helping to track goals and feedback. Assisting with disciplinary hearings and grievance procedures Support the planning and execution of employee engagement activities and training programs. Handle employee inquiries and resolve issues related to HR policies and procedures. Maintaining Personnel Files in accordance with company standards.
A relevant qualification in Human Resources or a related field. Proven track record in HR administration or a similar role, demonstrating strong organizational skills. Solid understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Demonstrable experience in managing confidential information and sensitive employee matters.
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. A relevant tertiary qualification will be an added advantage. Must have at least 2 (two) years of experience in an administrative position. Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook). Must have good communication skills in English. Driver's licence and own reliable motor vehicle essential. Must be willing to work additional hours (outside of normal office hours). Good organisational skills. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, taking minutes and other office procedures and terminology. Deadline driven. Proactive and a team player. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in a dynamic, pressurized environment. Strong attention to detail essential Experience with recruitment tools and applicant tracking systems. Familiarity with performance management systems and employee development practices. Knowledge of South African Labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA etc.) will be an advantage Previous experience in a corporate environment or within a specific industry sector is a plus.
