Status Staffing is currently recruiting an accomplished Internal Sales Representative for a permanent position based in Cape Town. Candidates should possess at least 5 years of experience within the sanitaryware sector, coupled with extensive familiarity with sanitaryware products and prior experience in retail showrooms. Exceptional sales acumen, superior customer service skills, and proficient computer and communication abilities are crucial for this role. Candidates must also be prepared to work weekends and public holidays and exhibit excellent time management, a robust work ethic, and consistent attendance.

Requirements

• Matric - Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the sanitaryware industry - Extensive knowledge of sanitaryware products - Experience in retail showroom settings - Outstanding customer service skills - Strong sales capabilities - Proficiency in MS Office and general computer skills - Above-average verbal and written English communication skills - Willingness to work weekends and public holidays - Excellent timekeeping, a strong work ethic, and reliable attendance

Duties

• Deliver efficient and effective service to all customers visiting the store - Establish and nurture robust customer relationships through professional and friendly service - Understand and cater to customers’ project requirements, recommending suitable products - Provide customers with necessary application and technical information regarding the sanitaryware product range - Guide customers through comprehensive bathroom solutions rather than focusing on individual products - Apply sales and marketing techniques to encourage purchases, upselling, and the promotion of additional products - Process customer orders and explain relevant procedures, including payment, delivery arrangements, and dispatch - Conduct telesales and follow up on outstanding orders, quotations, and PIKs (Picking Lists)

Hours

• Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00 - Saturdays: 08:00 – 15:00 - Alternate Sundays: 09:00 – 14:00, with one weekday off in lieu for each Sunday worked - Public Holidays: 09:00 – 14:00 (overtime)
