The Material Controller is responsible for ensuring seamless stock management, accurate record-keeping, and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced operational environment. Key responsibilities include safely loading and offloading materials, operating a forklift, maintaining accurate inventory records, and adhering to safety protocols. To be successful, the Material Controller must possess a minimum of a Grade 12 certificate, a valid driver's licence, a valid forklift licence, and at least three years of experience in supply chain or inventory control environments.

About the Role
We are looking for exceptional individuals to fill three Material Controller positions, which will play a crucial role in supporting our fast-paced operational environment. As a Material Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless stock management, accurate record-keeping, and adherence to safety protocols.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A minimum of a Grade 12 / Matric certificate - A valid driver's licence - A valid forklift licence - At least three years of experience in supply chain, warehouse, stores, or inventory control environments - Proficiency in using stock management systems, specifically SAP, as well as Microsoft Office - Strong administration and inventory control skills
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the Material Controller role include
- Safely loading and offloading materials from vehicles - Operating a forklift to move materials around the warehouse - Maintaining accurate stock control and inventory management records - Ensuring that all documentation and records are up-to-date and compliant with company procedures - Adhering to safety and operational protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment - Providing general administrative support for warehouse and dispatch operations
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be advantageous in this role:
- A diploma in Supply Chain or a related field - Previous experience working in mining, explosives, or heavy industrial environments would be beneficial in understanding our company's specific operational needs.
