Managed People Solutions is seeking an experienced Merchandiser to join our team. The selected candidate will be stationed at multiple retail outlets across the Southern Suburbs of Western Cape. The role involves merchandising products and ensuring store upkeep aligns with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Greet and engage with customers, store managers, and shoppers.
• Determine stock requirements based on the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and replenish shelves accordingly.
• Ensure accurate merchandising of products in compliance with the SOP.
• Conduct checks on product quality, stock rotation, and price tags.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in shelves and back-up areas such as storerooms.
• Execute merchandising tasks as outlined in the cycle brief.
• Foster positive relationships with customers and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Provide feedback on customer complaints, queries, and requests.
• Stay informed about product knowledge and promotions as per the cycle brief.
• Document all merchandising activities meticulously.
• Conduct store visits in line with the prescribed call cycle.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for additional displays and merchandising space to managers.
• Inform managers about out-of-stock products.
• Record relevant metrics and competitor activities.
• Submit required documents to relevant departments on time, including Proof of Delivery (POD), new account opening documents, and trading term agreements.
• Ensure proper care of company assets, including the company vehicle, laptop, and handheld devices.
Requirements
• Matric (Grade 12) certification.
• Minimum of 12 months’ experience in merchandising within an FMCG merchandising environment.
• Basic understanding of spirits.
• Strong communication skills.
• Vibrant and energetic demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license.
