We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mid-Level Web Developer to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, end-to-end website projects that meet the needs of our clients. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and creative understanding, allowing you to balance functionality, performance, and design to deliver exceptional results.

**Key Responsibilities**

As a Mid-Level Web Developer, you will be responsible for managing and delivering website projects from initial briefing and planning to build, testing, and deployment. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Planning, developing, and managing website projects from start to finish within agreed timelines, ensuring timely delivery and meeting client expectations. - Building responsive, high-performing websites on various Content Management Systems (CMS) platforms, including WordPress, Shopify, and others. - Customizing templates, themes, plugins, and functionality to meet each project's specific needs, ensuring a seamless user experience. - Managing hosting environments, DNS setup, domain registrations, and website migrations, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime. - Collaborating with designers, copywriters, and account managers to ensure cohesive delivery and meet client objectives. - Implementing and maintaining Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices, ensuring websites are fast, optimized, and secure, and meeting client search engine rankings. - Managing all project communication and milestones through ClickUp, our project management platform, ensuring clear communication and progress tracking. - Conducting ongoing maintenance, content updates, and technical troubleshooting, ensuring websites remain up-to-date and secure. - Integrating websites with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and marketing tools, such as Mailchimp, HubSpot, Meta, or Google Ads. - Liaising directly with clients when needed, offering clear guidance and technical support to ensure their satisfaction and success.

**Candidate Requirements**

**Qualifications and Experience**

We are looking for a candidate with 3-5 years of experience in web development, with a proven track record of managing full projects from start to finish. Your experience should include delivering multiple website builds from scratch, within scope and deadlines, and meeting client expectations.

**Skills and Competencies**

**Technical Skills**

• Strong proficiency in WordPress, including custom builds and theme development. - Experience with Shopify, Squarespace, or Webflow is advantageous, but not essential. - Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and responsive design principles. - Familiarity with MySQL, Git/GitHub, and hosting environments, such as cPanel or similar. - Working understanding of technical SEO, Google Analytics, and Search Console. - Experience with Google paid media and Google Ads is advantageous.

**Soft Skills**

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the ability to work collaboratively with designers, copywriters, and account managers. - Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. - Eye for detail and appreciation for good design and user experience, with the ability to balance functionality and aesthetics. - Proactive, accountable, and aligned with Recruitify's values and culture. - Bilingual fluency in Afrikaans and English is essential for this role.

**Other Requirements**

• Experience with Google Tag Manager and GA4 setup. - Knowledge of website security, SSL, and backup protocols. - Experience with website migration and 301 redirect setup. - Understanding of e-commerce integrations and conversion tracking.
