Presently, we are seeking a skilled New Product Developer to enhance and create food products for our client's FMCG sector. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the product development journey, from idea conception to market launch.
Key Responsibilities: • Design and refine food products tailored to market and consumer needs • Collaborate on new product concepts, formulations, and conduct product trials • Carry out product testing and analyze trial outcomes • Oversee sample preparation and evaluation processes • Support in recipe and formulation development • Engage with production, quality assurance, and procurement teams • Facilitate the transition of products from laboratory/trial stages to full-scale production • Maintain precise documentation for product development and technical processes • Assist in resolving formulation and production issues • Ensure product quality, consistency, and performance standards • Participate in sensory evaluations and product feedback sessions • Aid in continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
Minimum Qualifications: • High School Diploma (Matric) • Bachelor's Degree/National Diploma in Food Science/Food Technology • 3 - 5 Years of experience in product development • Familiarity with food manufacturing processes and product development principles • Knowledge of food safety and quality regulations • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
