Status Staffing is currently recruiting a seasoned Project Manager for a Brackenfell, Cape Town-based client. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a trade-related qualification and should have 5–10 years of experience in project management with a robust understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Expertise in HVAC systems, including their components and functions, along with a proactive mindset towards technical skill enhancement, is imperative. Requirements: - Relevant Project Management, Mechanical Degree, or trade-related qualification. - 5–10 years’ experience in project management with expertise in mechanical and electrical systems. - Comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems and components, coupled with a proactive approach to technical knowledge enhancement. - Valid driver’s license and personal reliable vehicle.

Duties: - Dynamically and effectively manage projects on-site. - Oversee Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and coordinate material procurement. - Handle claim submissions and variation order quotations with necessary approvals. - Develop and maintain project plans, including work schedules and deadlines. - Organize and manage all site meetings and instructions. - Schedule and supervise teams, ensuring strict labor control on projects. - Manage and comprehend contra charges. - Maintain a thorough understanding of building contracts and related requirements. - Read, interpret, and measure from technical drawings and plans. - Conduct precise on-site measurements. - Liaise efficiently with engineers, builders, and other stakeholders. - Ensure completion of project scopes and alignment of as-built drawings. - Compile and submit Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals. - Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail in planning and execution.

Hours: - Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 17:00 - Fridays: 07:30 – 16:15
