Job Description

Our Brackenfell, Cape Town client is looking for an accomplished Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate should hold a relevant degree in Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related trade qualification, and possess 5–10 years of experience in project management with extensive mechanical and electrical knowledge of machines and tools. A thorough understanding of HVAC systems, components, and their functions is crucial, along with a proactive mindset to enhance technical expertise. A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are mandatory. Basic Salary: R30,000 – R45,000 + Benefits Start Date: A. S. A. P

Requirements: - Relevant Project Management, Mechanical Degree, or trade-related qualification. - 5–10 years’ experience in a Project Management role with mechanical and electrical knowledge of machines and tools. - Excellent understanding of HVAC systems, including components and functions, and a proactive approach to technical knowledge expansion. - Valid driver’s license and personal reliable vehicle required.

Duties

• Dynamically and effectively manage projects on-site. - Manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and coordinate material orders. - Take responsibility for claim submissions. - Manage variation order quotations and obtain necessary approvals. - Develop and maintain project plans, including work schedules and completion deadlines. - Oversee site meetings and provide site instructions. - Schedule teams and maintain strict control of labor on projects. - Manage and understand contra charges. - Maintain an understanding of building contracts and related requirements. - Read, interpret, and measure from technical drawings and plans. - Conduct accurate on-site measurements. - Liaise effectively with engineers, builders, and other stakeholders. - Ensure completed project scopes are achieved and as-built drawings are accurately aligned. - Compile and submit Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals. - Demonstrate excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail in planning and execution.

• Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 17:00 - Fridays: 07:30 – 16:15
