Position Overview

Status Staffing is currently seeking a seasoned Project Manager to join their team in Brackenfell, Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree in Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related trade qualification, coupled with 5-10 years of project management experience and strong technical knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems. A comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems and components, along with a proactive approach to continual technical learning, is crucial. A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are mandatory. Application Requirements

• Relevant Project Management, Mechanical Degree, or trade-related qualification - 5–10 years of project management experience with expertise in mechanical and electrical systems - Thorough understanding of HVAC systems, including components and functions, with a proactive attitude towards technical knowledge expansion - Valid driver’s license and personal reliable vehicle

Duties

• Oversee and manage project execution on-site - Handle Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and coordinate material procurement - Submit claims and manage variation order quotations and approvals - Develop and maintain project plans, including schedules and deadlines - Conduct and manage site meetings and instructions - Schedule teams and enforce strict labor control on projects - Manage contra charges and building contract-related requirements - Read, interpret, and measure technical drawings and plans - Conduct accurate on-site measurements - Liaise with engineers, builders, and stakeholders - Ensure project scopes are completed and as-built drawings are accurate - Compile and submit Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals - Demonstrate outstanding communication skills and meticulous attention to detail

• Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 17:00 - Fridays: 07:30 – 16:15
