The Branch Manager role at Europcar, Motus Corporation, is a full-time, permanent position based at the George Airport Depot. This role is integral to the company's overall operations and is responsible for managing all aspects of the branch to ensure performance targets, goals, and operational excellence are met through compliance and customer service delivery.

Job Responsibilities The primary responsibilities of the Branch Manager include, but are not limited to, developing and implementing branch strategies and improvement plans aligned with the broader Operations strategy. The manager will be tasked with revenue, budget, and branch profitability management, as well as monitoring and managing key metrics such as revenue, costs, profitability, risk, and customer service delivery.

The role requires continuous oversight of process turnaround times and quality standards, with corrective and preventive actions implemented as required. Building sustainable customer relationships to ensure customer retention and growth is a key objective. Compliance and governance processes and policies must be implemented and overseen to manage risk liability.

The manager will be expected to seek, maximize, and leverage business and growth opportunities, handle and resolve customer queries and correspondence efficiently, manage administration tasks such as banking and management reports, and ensure maximum utilization of fleet assets. Daily fleet planning, profitability enhancement through effective yield management, maintaining compliance with all applicable policies and procedures, creating an engaging work climate, and managing and developing staff are also part of the responsibilities.

The manager must oversee smaller outlying branches/agencies and possess competencies in communication, business and operations management, business development/sales, personnel management, analytical thinking, relationship building, commercial thinking, driving results, openness to change, conflict management, managerial competence, operations risk management, customer focus, and time management.

Personal Attributes & Requirements The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience, including 3-5 years in business operations management. A qualification in the relevant field, such as a Diploma or equivalent NQF5, is required. A BCom degree or equivalent NQF6+ is preferred.

The candidate must be computer literate, particularly with Excel and Outlook, and hold a valid, unendorsed drivers' license. Strong communication skills, business and operations management experience, business development/sales skills, personnel management, analytical thinking, relationship building, commercial thinking, driving results, openness to change, conflict management, managerial competence, operations risk management, customer focus, and time management are all highly desirable.
