Our client in the leather retail sector is looking for a seasoned Retail Supervisor to join their team in Cape Town. Candidates should possess at least three years of supervisory experience in the leather industry, coupled with a minimum of three years of retail or shop floor experience in a leather merchant setting. A Matric (Grade 12) qualification is mandatory, while tertiary education is viewed favorably. The ideal candidate must have a robust understanding of sales and marketing systems in a retail context and should be capable of leading a team effectively, enhancing both performance and customer service excellence.

REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum of 3+ years supervisory experience in the leather industry. - Minimum of 3+ years’ retail or shop floor experience within the leather merchant industry. - Matric (Grade 12) qualification required. - Tertiary education considered advantageous. - Thorough understanding of retail sales and marketing systems. - Proven track record of achieving results. - Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as being an effective team member. - Strong time management and organizational skills. - Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team. - High level of emotional intelligence. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. - Valid driver’s license and own vehicle preferred.

DUTIES: - Provide operational support to the Retail Sales Team. - Oversee the efficient and effective daily operations of the Retail Sales Team, ensuring high standards of housekeeping, customer service, and sales targets. - Grow the existing customer database. - Meet individual sales targets and act as a role model for face-to-face sales and customer service excellence. - Prepare and submit daily, monthly, and yearly reports for management, ensuring all team administrative tasks are in line with company policies and procedures.
