Position Overview
We are in search of a seasoned Lead Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to offer expert guidance and support on an as-needed, project-based basis for a valued client. The successful candidate will leverage their advanced technical acumen in cloud infrastructure and Microsoft technologies to aid in the creation, optimization, and troubleshooting of enterprise IT landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, maintain, and oversee cloud infrastructure setups. • Deliver expert technical support for ad-hoc cloud and infrastructure projects. • Oversee and manage Microsoft Azure cloud solutions and environments. • Administer and support Microsoft Active Directory and associated Microsoft infrastructure technologies. • Resolve intricate issues related to infrastructure, cloud connectivity, and systems. • Facilitate cloud migrations, infrastructure enhancements, integrations, and optimization initiatives. • Establish and uphold infrastructure security, access controls, and best practices. • Work in tandem with technical teams, stakeholders, and client representatives to meet project objectives. • Author technical documentation, reports, and facilitate knowledge transfer as needed. • Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture, security, performance, and operational standards.
Required Experience & Skills
• Over a decade of experience in large corporate or enterprise IT settings. • Robust background in Cloud Infrastructure Engineering. • Extensive expertise in Microsoft Azure. • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory. • Comprehensive understanding of enterprise infrastructure, networking, security, and systems administration. • Proven track record in supporting cloud infrastructure projects and technical implementations. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. • Capability to work autonomously and manage project-based demands. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills. • Proficiency across the Microsoft technology ecosystem.
Advantageous
• Certifications in Azure such as AZ-104, AZ-305 or equivalent. • Expertise in Azure networking, security, identity, and governance. • Experience with hybrid cloud setups. • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). • Proficiency in PowerShell. • Experience in large-scale enterprise cloud environments.
