Our client, located in Mossel Bay’s Hartenbos, is currently looking for an experienced and proactive Showroom Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-oriented sales professional who possesses extensive industry knowledge, an established network within the trade, and a passion for delivering top-tier showroom experiences. The ideal candidate will have a background in furniture or interior retail, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a track record in boosting sales and managing showroom operations.
**Basic Salary: R18 000 – R22 000 + Commission**

**Requirements:**
- 3–5+ years’ experience in showroom management or senior retail sales within the furniture, home décor, or interior design sector. - Proven and verifiable connections with interior decorators, architects, and trade procurement clients. - In-depth understanding of furniture manufacturing, upholstery, timber, fabrics, and the performance of indoor and outdoor materials. - Proficiency in inventory and POS software (e.g., OMNI, SAP, or similar retail ERP systems) along with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. - Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a sophisticated and consultative sales approach. - Fluency in both English and Afrikaans. - A valid South African driver’s license and reliable personal transport.
**Duties:**
**Sales & Business Development (Retail & Trade):**
- Drive showroom sales to meet and exceed monthly and annual revenue goals. - Actively build and nurture relationships with local interior designers, architects, and property developers to expand the trade network. - Host private consultations, showroom tours, and exclusive networking events for trade partners. - Guide retail customers through personalized design consultations, product specifications, customization options, and material selections.
**Showroom Management & Operations:**
- Maintain high standards in visual merchandising, showroom layout, and floor displays in accordance with brand guidelines. - Supervise daily showroom operations to ensure a premium hospitality experience for all visitors. - Manage end-to-end sales processing, customer quotations, orders, and payment reconciliations via the ERP/POS system. - Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery and installation for trade and retail clients.
**Team Leadership & Coaching:**
- Lead, mentor, and motivate showroom sales staff to provide outstanding customer service. - Set individual sales targets, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and conduct regular performance reviews. - Provide ongoing training in product knowledge, objection-handling techniques, and trade sales strategies to the sales team.
**Reporting & Inventory Control:**
- Conduct stock audits, monitor inventory levels, and manage display floor stock. - Provide weekly and monthly reports on sales performance, foot traffic, conversion rates, and trade account activity to senior management.
