About the Role

We are on the lookout for a motivated and customer-oriented Regional Agricultural Sales Specialist to join our retail team.

The chosen candidate will be tasked with driving sales growth, fostering robust customer relationships, and marketing and selling our products in accordance with established sales targets. This role involves actively promoting merchandise to customers, identifying new business opportunities, and managing stock levels to ensure the consistent availability of products and exceptional service delivery.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF 4

• A relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous

• 2-3 years of experience in agricultural retail

• Experience in animal health products and veterinary medicine, with knowledge of AFCASA and similar products, including active ingredients, product applications, and usage recommendations

• Strong orientation towards marketing and client service

• Team-oriented and a natural people-person who thrives under pressure

• Code 08 driver's license required

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Willingness to learn, grow, and occasionally work after hours

• Proficient in both Afrikaans and English

What You’ll Be Doing

• Sales and marketing of agricultural commodities/products including hardware, irrigation, and animal health/medicine products

• Assisting customers by providing product information and recommendations to meet their needs

• Ensuring effective stock control and product availability

• Delivering excellent customer service, resolving queries, and maintaining strong relationships

• Ensuring compliance with safety and legislative requirements

• Driving marketing initiatives and promotions to enhance branch performance

• Performing other ad-hoc job-related duties

• Continually providing high-standard customer service to walk-in customers and via telephonic and email mediums

• Handling other job-related administrative duties such as GRV's, filling, and invoicing

• Collaborating with branch staff to support operational and sales objectives
