JOB SUMMARY
The role entails the efficient and professional supply of medications to patients, wards, and the theatre department. The incumbent, guided by a registered Pharmacist, will prepare prescriptions, select and compound medications, and accurately label them prior to dispensing.

Minimum Qualifications
- NQF Level 4 Certification - CSSD CPD Course
Minimum Experience
- 1-2 years of hospital experience

DELIVERABLES
- Consistently apply infection prevention standard operating procedures. - Maintain a clean and uncluttered work environment to facilitate effective task completion. - Test the autoclave daily as a quality control measure to ensure effective sterilization of equipment and to prevent contingencies in the theatre. - Report any autoclave issues to the Line Manager or Unit Manager for maintenance and resolution. - Clean and sterilize all equipment and materials in preparation for procedures in accordance with standard operating procedures and health and safety requirements. - Re-sterilize equipment and materials as needed. - Prepare all cleaning solutions for daily cleaning and disinfecting of instruments as per manufacturing criteria. - Ensure the hygienic and sterile packaging and sealing of theatre equipment or prostheses according to standard operating procedures. - Confirm that the sterilization indicator is on every pack and that every pack is correctly marked.
