Job Summary: The Registered Nurse will promote and deliver quality patient care and wellness in line with industry standards and Nursing duties as per the South African Nursing Councilās standards, procedures, and protocols. The role involves working closely with Doctors, multi-disciplinary team members, and the community to provide holistic support to patients and their families while supervising allocated team members within a specialized unit.
Location: Clinix Botshelong-Empilweni Private Hospital (Vosloorus)
Reports to: Unit Manager
Requirements: Minimum Requirements: - B. Cur / Diploma in General Nursing - Relevant Midwifery Qualification - BLS Qualification
Minimum Experience: - Post registration experience preferred - Updated ACLS / PALS / ATLS - Previous experience in a private hospital environment advantageous
Deliverables: - Perform nursing duties in accordance with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), Department of Health (DOH) and National Core Standards. - Adhere to patient advocacy principles and standards as per SANC Acts and Omissions, Company Code of Conduct, Patient Rights and Responsibility Charter, and continuous professional development (CPD). - Supervise, organize, lead, and control the quality of care work for self and the team, adhering to therapeutic standards and goals. - Actively participate in internal and external auditing processes, such as those conducted by DOH, National Core Standards, SHERQ, SANC, and Risk Audits. - Document and maintain accurate files and records of patient medication and conduct ward rounds, including accompanying Doctors and other Medical Practitioners for creating and evaluating customized care plans. - Monitor activities of nurses to ensure compliance with protocols, patient environment safety, Group Nursing policies and procedures, and SANC requirements through regular unit rounds.
