Position Responsibilities: - Secure new sponsorships and donations based on established targets - Identify and explore potential funders and funding sources - Establish and maintain relationships through direct engagement, networking events, and cold calling - Draft and submit monthly fundraising proposals - Manage and support an assigned donor portfolio - Ensure adherence to donor requirements and reporting standards - Collaborate with Project teams to ascertain funding needs and develop persuasive proposals - Keep precise donor records and monitor fundraising activities in the database - Meet agreed-upon fundraising targets
Qualifications and Skills: - Matriculation (Grade 12) as a minimum educational requirement - A Fundraising or Sales & Marketing Certificate is a plus - Valid driver's license - Proven background in sales or fundraising with at least 5 years of relevant work experience - Demonstrated self-motivation, energy, and maturity - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Comfortable in face-to-face interactions, telephone communications, and other electronic platforms - Proficient in computer usage - Dedicated, persistent, and resilient - Extensive professional network and ability to interact confidently with individuals at all societal levels - Creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial mindset in fundraising - Versatile, adaptable, and proactive approach - Excellent time management skills under pressure while maintaining efficiency and accuracy - Strong written and verbal communication abilities
