Our client, a well-established and expanding construction enterprise, is seeking a dedicated Payroll Administrator to become part of their team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned payroll and HR administration specialist who possesses meticulous organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment. Key ResponsibilitiesHandle monthly payroll, encompassing wages, salaries, and employee benefits administration. Process and maintain PAYE, UIF, SDL, Provident Fund, Medical Aid, and BCEA obligations. Maintain precise and current employee records and personnel files. Assist in recruitment activities, including job postings, interviews, and new hire orientation. Maintain training and development documentation. Assist with disciplinary, grievance, and termination procedures. Ensure adherence to South African labor laws and HR policies. Manage appropriate submissions to SARS, FEM, CESA, and BCEA. Complete HR and payroll reports. Assist with BBBEE and Employment Equity documentation. Support employee wellness and engagement programs. Minimum RequirementsHigh School Diploma / Matriculation β mandatory. HR or Payroll certification will be considered advantageous. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in payroll administration, preferably within the construction sector. Familiarity with South African labor legislation and HR compliance standards. Experience with payroll software such as Sage, VIP, EJM, or similar. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines. High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
