BRIEF DESCRIPTION:-

The General Worker role at RCL Foods involves driving promotional trucks and operating within the baking business unit, reporting to the Production Manager in Durban. The main responsibilities include performing operational checks, managing equipment, ensuring cleanliness, and adhering to standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate should have a matric, basic baking exposure, and previous manufacturing and bakery experience.

Job Title: General Worker Company: RCL Foods

RCL Foods is seeking a dedicated and energetic General Worker for its baking business unit. The ideal candidate will be tasked with driving promotional trucks or other vehicles along pre-established routes or within designated territories according to a scheduled activation plan.  This position will be based in Durban and report to the Production Manager. The engagement is for a Fixed Term contract.

Basic baking exposure and loading experience Previous manufacturing and bakery experience is advantageous

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform operational start-up checks as outlined in the Operational Checks SOP Report any irregularities or issues to the team leader Notify the team leader of any breakdowns or machine issues at the start, during, and at the end of the shift Ensure that all equipment and utensils are managed and maintained as per the Utensils and Equipment Management SOP Operate in accordance with all company standard operating procedures Ensure that the department area is clean and tidy at the end of each shift before leaving Conduct a handover with the next shift before departing the workstation Adhere to the ‘clean as you go’ principles
