BRIEF DESCRIPTION:-

Requirements
Hold a matric certificate along with an appropriate qualification in Physiotherapy that qualifies you for registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) in the field of Physiotherapy. Must maintain current registration with the HPCSA.
Grade 1: No additional requirements beyond registration with the HPCSA in Physiotherapy.
Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years of experience post-registration with the HPCSA in Physiotherapy.
Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years of experience post-registration with the HPCSA in Physiotherapy.
Knowledge and Skills
Familiarity with the Medicines and Related Substances Act, the Allied Health Professions Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Public Service Act, the National Health Act, the Public Service Regulation 2016 as amended. Proficiency in planning and organizing, analytical skills, problem-solving, negotiation skills, influencing skills, and computer literacy.
Duties
- Provide patients with explanations of procedures. - Prepare patients for treatment sessions. - Interpret patients' clinical histories to determine appropriate treatment methods. - Conduct practical training and evaluations for students. - Check and test physiotherapy equipment and report any faults. - Apply reject analysis methods. - Adhere to established policies and protocols.
