Position: PROJECT COORDINATOR FOR ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE

Effective project delivery hinges on meticulous planning. An established electrical engineering contractor is currently looking for a Project Coordinator who can seamlessly integrate site conditions into a feasible schedule. If you have the skill to identify bottlenecks, elucidate their impact, and assist the project team in addressing them before milestones are jeopardized, this position is for you.

You will collaborate directly with project managers, engineers, and site teams to develop comprehensive schedules and maintain focus on activities that drive project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop the delivery plan: Translate project specifications into detailed schedules complete with milestones, dependencies, and resource allocations. * Maintain a realistic schedule: Collect updates from site teams and subcontractors, evaluate actual progress, and adjust forecasts accordingly. * Safeguard the critical path: Identify key activities that determine project completion dates and highlight constraints needing immediate action. * Address delays proactively: Analyze the effects of schedule slippage and propose practical adjustments to regain progress. * Provide management insights: Generate reports that outline what’s on track, what’s at risk, and where decisions are required. * Align team efforts: Coordinate scheduling inputs to ensure that engineering, site, and subcontractor activities converge on shared deadlines. * Document planning details: Record baselines, revisions, assumptions, and approvals to support project controls and reporting.

Requirements

• A minimum of three years’ experience in project planning or scheduling, preferably within electrical infrastructure, construction, or engineering. * Grade 12. * Demonstrated expertise in creating and managing schedules using Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar software. * In-depth knowledge of critical path analysis, dependencies, project lifecycles, and progress measurement. * Proficient in Excel with a strong emphasis on accurate and clear reporting. * The ability to question progress updates, highlight risks, and communicate effectively with both office and site teams. * A relevant qualification in engineering, construction management, project management, or planning. * A valid driver’s license.
