We are looking for an energetic and driven Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Cape Town, Western Cape. This is a permanent role reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and working closely with Site Management.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
- Degree (BSc or BTech) in Quantity Surveying. - 5-10 years of experience in the Construction industry. - Proficiency in Construction Computer Software (CCS). - Demonstrated understanding of Senior Quantity Surveyor role. - Excellent interpersonal skills and team-oriented approach. - Valid driver's license and access to personal, reliable transportation. - South African citizen.

- Provide assistance to the Senior Quantity Surveyor (Snr QS) in detailed estimating, tender compilation, and coordination, ensuring compliance with tender specifications. - Support the Snr QS in the measurement of construction works for tender purposes, preparation of the bill of quantities, and tender documentation management. - Collaborate with Business Unit Directors, the Snr QS, and Construction Managers in estimating and measuring construction works, preparing the bill of quantities, and compiling necessary documentation. - Demonstrate knowledge in planning and programming for construction projects. - Effectively review and interpret construction drawings. - Familiarize with various construction contracts and specifications. - Assist the Snr QS with cost management and reporting during project execution. - Aid the Snr QS in cost control, ensuring adherence to project budgets. - Work alongside the Snr QS and Construction Managers to meet construction budgets, providing regular reporting. - Support the Snr QS in preparing monthly forecasts and end-of-site estimates. - Record site information for monthly cost reporting and final account purposes. - Maintain accurate records and ensure proper document control. - Assist the Snr QS in preparing valuations/measurements for interim payment certificates and reconciliation statements, calculating CPAP with relevant indices and formulas, and assessing their implications. - Collaborate with the Snr QS and Construction Managers in measuring and managing subcontractor and supplier performance. - Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures. - Oversee the execution of administrative functions.
In addition to the above duties, the Quantity Surveyor may undertake other tasks in line with general QS knowledge, skills, and activities.
